Impact and sustainability
At Barrow Hill Primary Academy we have developed an action plan to ensure this funding is invested (rather than ‘spent’) to maximise the long term impact of our provision.
Due to the CPD for teaching staff this year, the knowledge and confidence of teaching of PE across school has improved and children have begun increasing their core fundamental skills. Alongside this, teachers have been able to observe and recognise the physical development progress being made by their pupils throughout the year. As a result, we are in a position to invest further in teaching resources to ensure continuity and clear progression.
Investment in sports equipment has enabled greater provision for high quality teaching and a variety of sporting activities as well as enriching the curriculum and extra-curricula offerings. Going forward it will allow for more active social times for children and provide leadership opportunities for Sports Leaders.
