Barrow Hill Primary Academy a small school located in the village of Barrow Hill, near Chesterfield in Derbyshire. We currently have around 80 children on roll from nursery up to year 6.
Our school ethos is centred around giving our children real-life, purposeful learning opportunities to inspire them to 'dream big' in their own lives. We are a growing and improving school and we pride ourselves that we know each and every child inside out. We do our best to help each child find their strengths and talents so that they will flourish and be challenged.
We work closely with our families to ensure that all children achieve their potential across our community, having relentlessly high expectations for ourselves and others.
As a school we are passionate about working as part of a collaborative learning commmunity. We work closely with the other trust schools as well as the Staveley cluster group to share excellent practice to improve outcomes for every child. We are also part of the Synergy Teaching School Alliance (TSA) and have links with around 35 other schools in Derbyshire.
